Request for Proposals, Information or Quotations (RFP, RFI, RFQ)

The Court uses RFPs, RFIs and RFQs to procure services and information from outside agencies and private industry. Organizations should submit written proposals in the manner described in the document(s) listed below.

The following criteria are considered when evaluating which proposal is the most advantageous to the Court:

  • Cost to the Court
  • Quality of the proposed service
  • Capabilities and expertise of the vendor
  • Past service record
  • Proposal that best meets all the requirements of the Court
     

Open Requests:

Request for Proposal (RFP):
Guardian ad Litem

Working as an independent contractor of the Court, the Guardian Ad Litem (GAL) provides legal representation to parents who are mentally ill or incompetent in Juvenile Dependency Court pursuant to the California Welfare and Institutions Code § 300 as described in Code of Civil Procedure CCP 372 and 373 and Juvenile Local Rule 2G(1). The contractor may assume responsibility for GAL existing and new appointments in Dependency Court from the date the contract commences.

A flat fee of $500 for the first 20 hours of service dedicated to each subsequent case will be provided. Initially, a new GAL will receive a flat fee of $500 for the first 20 hours of service, which will be applied to the hours of required training and work on the first case. For hours beyond the first 20 spent in court or with the client on a per case basis, contractors will be paid an hourly rate of $35. Mileage will be reimbursed at the IRS rate; no compensation will be provided for travel time.

Request for Information (RFI):
Grant Writer

The Superior Court of California, County of Santa Clara (Court) is issuing a Request for Information (RFI) to gather information on the grant writing services available within Santa Clara County. This information may be used by the Court to contact potential candidates for grant writing assignments.

Responses must be received no later than 5:00 pm Pacific Standard Time October 8, 2010.
