| The Juvenile Court has exclusive original jurisdiction over youths,
under 18 years of age, who violate any federal, state or municipal law,
and any child who is abused or neglected. Juvenile Delinquency cases are
heard at the
Juvenile Delinquency Court. Juvenile Dependency cases are
normally heard at the
Terraine Courthouse.

Judge The plight of troubled children and the Juvenile Court
has garnered interest in the press this past year. Because of this
interest, the Superior Court of Santa Clara County is issuing a
year-end report of activities in Juvenile Delinquency Court
during the past 12 months, prepared by the Presiding Judge of
