Important Jury Service information:

Your availability for jury duty is expected Monday through Friday of the week you are summoned.  If you report and get assigned to a courtroom, your services are required until you are excused from the jury selection process.  If you are selected as a sworn juror or as an alternate juror, you must serve for the duration of the trial.

You are expected to return to work any day that you are not required to report to the courthouse. You will receive a certificate of appearance for the days you are instructed to report. This does not include days you were on telephone alert.

Courthouse Security: when reporting for jury duty, you may be required to enter through a metal detector. Please do not bring the following items with you: cameras, recording equipment, laser pointers, mace, hair spray, knitting needles, scissors, nail files/clippers, or pocket knives. These items will be confiscated.

Jury status this week: The following information applies if you were summoned for the week of  August 30, 2010.

Our office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to  5:00 p.m.  Please check carefully for your juror group number - scroll through the tables on this page, as groups are selected randomly. If you did not report in as directed, please call the Jury Commissioner's Office at (408) 882-2500 or (408) 808-6667 for further instructions, or email jury services at ssjuryinfo@scscourt.org. Note: Email will be answered within 2 business days. If you have your badge number (bar code), please provide it in your email to the Court.

Juror parking is located at Market and St James Streets. The parking permit is valid only in the County "C" permit and Jury Parking Lot. Juror parking is limited in this lot.  If the lot is full, you may park at a public lot.  We strongly encourage the use of public transportation whenever possible.
