There are many kinds of restraining orders available through the Court system. Each order has different eligibility requirements. Civil Harassment and Workplace Violence restraining orders are filed in the Civil Division. Completed papers may be filed in the Calendar Office, Room 104, at the Downtown Superior Court.

• Civil Harassment Restraining Orders: This applies when you need protection from someone who is not, or has not been, a business partner and who is not a close family member. This restraining order could be used for protection from neighbors, roommates, or co-workers, for example.
   
• Workplace Violence Restraining Orders: A business would file this if it needs protection for its worker(s).
